Wim Bosman

Wim Bosman is a logistical service provider who has been offering its service in the fields of transport and logistics throughout the whole of Europe. For their e-business Wim Bosman has been counting on the professional support of ISM eCompany. This year the latest version of ISM eCompany’s web content management system Sana Sites (version 7) has been implemented.

Rich e-Commerce experience Peter Derksen, Teamleader E-Logistics is responsible for the different e-business processes within Wim Bosman, like contact with customers, managing the ebookingsystem and the e-marketing. He tells more of the cooperation between Wim Bosman and ISM eCompany. “Since 1998 Codim had been our partner for e-business. After Codim became part of ISM eCompany in 2005, it was logical to once again choose this new party because of their rich experience in the many different eCommerce-possibilities.” The new Sana platform The CMS which was in use at Wim Bosman was no longer up-to-date and the findability was not what it should be. “After a solid preselection we chose ISM eCompany, because we were looking for a partner that could provide a total solution. Our four labels Rutges Cargo, Maenhout, Wim Bosman and System Plus, and the link with different websites, had to be migrated to a new platform,” Derksen states. The goal was clear: easily maintaining all websites through one platform, which could also support the whole.
	Sites and sub-sites The new Sana Web CMS supports 12 different websites based on these four brands. The different sub-sites are multi-language and this also has to be manageable. Peter Derksen continues: “At this moment the SAP framework has been improved to SAPx 2.0 which offers more opportunities. The four brands of Wim Bosman naturally look like each other, but now they have their own unique online characteristics and a very specific surrounding.” It will also be possible to work with authorizations of different persons. This way the platform can be managed selectively by certain people. Direct results The implementation of the new platform has also brought about a better findability of the new main site. Peter Derksen illustrates: “The number of visitors through Google Organic has risen from several percents to more than 20%. With the help of the Service Suggestion Module visitors can directly see on our worldview, which services are offered where. Because of this we see a rise in the number of tender requests which is generated through normal countries and from special destinations!”
Reasoning from a visitor point-of-view Because of the renewed structure in the new platform Wim Bosman has been able to better categorize the website, which is very important to get an overview of the customers, as Derksen explains. “It is important to reason from a visitor’s point-of-view and what that visitor sees of our services. That certainly has been improved. With our new larger overview of our divisions European Distribution, Logistics and Air&Ocean you can see what specifically is detailed in there. That is important for every company. In the end it is the service that matters.” Raising profits and saving costs Working with the renewed Sana platform also fits nicely in Wim Bosman’s strategy for the coming year, Peter Derksen states. “In 2009 we want to raise the awareness about our site, in order to raise the profits and lower the costs. Every new lead is important to us. If every new customer can be helped through our site and does not have to call our helpdesk, than that naturally raises the efficiency.”	Future Peter Derksen: “ISM eCompany has made sure that the new platform delivers good results. After an extensive start up we have successfully rounded the implementation. Now we will work on keeping the website up-to-date. It is important to keep booking maximum results in the future.” In 2005 ISM eCompany has built a Tracking and Tracing system. This lowers the costs and raises the profits on the 3000 daily shipments. Peter Derksen: “In 2009 ISM eCompany will further renew this system, so of those 3000 shipments a maximum amount is effortlessly handled. This also raises the level of our service. It is all about the service in the end, so also on the internet this has to be optimized.” Service of ISM eCompany Derksen is very satisfied with the support he received from ISM eCompany. “The programmers from Ukraine have been working very diligently. The required demands have been put to good practice. Because the level cooperation is very high, many new possibilities have been realized. Thanks to ISM eCompany our back office and the integration of the back office has been optimized. This way a unique total solution has been realized: that is very rewarding.” Another highpoint in the long relationship between Wim Bosman and ISM eCompany.
