Complying to your didactic concept

Depending on the amount of knowledge to be transferred, a course can range from only a number of pages to a non-liniar structure made up of chapters and sub menus. Maybe you want to create a so-called learning path through the course. In this way the learners will be guided through the course based on results they achieve with previous questions. 

WYSIWYG-editor

Sana EasyGenerator is based on a detailed graphical "What You See Is What You Get" editor.

The results are instantly rendered in the editor, making the generation of a course completely intuitive. To design pages, the author can decide to use the standard templates, parts of these templates or start from scratch. Extra elements can be easily added to a course. Maybe extra pictures, videos or extra interactivity with the use of hot spots to challenge the learner to look at different scenarios. The author is able to redirect to external sources like websites or enclosed documents for extra study material. This can also be linked to results on a question. If somebody gives a wrong answer, they will be instantly redirected to the location where the correct answer can be found.

Sana EasyGenerator introduces an advanced templating system, making course creation a breeze.

Master Pages

By separating content from layout, subject matter experts can focus on content rather than worrying about graphical design. This will speed up the process of content creation and help authors in implementing content in the corporate design. All styles used are defined in a Masterpage. By applying a different Masterpage, the same content can look totally different. This makes it very easy to personalize content for a specific customer or target market.

Page Templates

Most people are familiair with powerpoint when it comes to working on setting up pages. The way how this works is quite similair as how it works in Sana EasyGenerator. When an author decides to use a template (for example: text with images, or text with video), automatically the desired elements will be placed on their location. The only thing the author has to do now is filling up the text boxes and direct to the correct pictures and/or video's. Extra elements can be added easily from a special toolbar. Once the author is satisfied with the layout, he can save the page as a custom template.

The question templates will be filled using question specific dialogboxes. This will make sure the author adds all the elements required, in for example a drag-and-drop question.

No templates

The more experienced e-Learning designers sometimes want to start from scratch. These authors will not be held back by the templates in two ways. The easiest way is to edit a blank page and add the desired elements separately. Or even more advanced they will be able to create new templates for their users in Flash. Part of the success of Sana EasyGenerator is the Sana Course API, a special Flash-SCORM interface that is included. Using standard Flash animations, it will now be possible to track and trace the results of the learner within this flash in any SCORM-compliant LMS. The interface will seamlessly take care of the translation between Flash and SCORM.

This allows unlimited possibilities for experts on one hand, and ease-of-use for non-technical people on the other hand.
